Indeed, venue does matter! A long long time ago, I saw every now and then female barristers (and occasionally female defendants as well) with extremely low-cut upper garment taking deep bows to the honourable judges of law in the courtroom. Street smarts would surely know what was happening. But I don't understand: how come nowadays even the so-called 'intellectuals' (at least sort of "quasi-intellectuals") need to use this kind of mean tactics to kill two "BIRDS" (in USC case, there were literally as many "BIRDS" as the number of male scholars present in the seminar) with one stone? Has the world (academic world included)become so dirty now?

As a man and luster in his late 40s, I'd find it's unwise of the research student in question to have dressed like that. She's actually insulting the audience by seducing the viewers in the 'holy land'.

To be frank, I'd certainly buy this kind of sexy students (including those who're wearing mini-skirts, whom Joyce has described vividly) a drink if we met in Lan Kwai Fong. However, I'd wonder: they might turn me down as I'm not any professor, but a dirty old man who does not have two pennies to rub together.

Correction: in the above comment (feedback), it should read "in CU case" instead of "in USC case" (line 9). Sorry for the typos.

Dear Mart,

I saw a lady wear a “deep V” evening dress in a 90 years old man's funeral yesterday. When she bowed...
